What do you want out of this?

What drew you to this world of inner work and emotional healing?

What do you want to get out of it?

This is such an important question.

Do you want more money? Do you want a romantic partner? Is there a specific emotional or physical pain you want to end?

Do you want spiritual awakening? If so, can you describe what you truly want about it in a detailed way… how your experience of life would be specifically different, without referencing teachings?

Sometimes this very line of questioning brings up resistance. That is VERY important to notice.

Do you answer with “I just want to be happy?” If so…

Can you articulate what happiness feels like for you? Can you describe it with the detail of a favorite meal of yours? Is the goal to actually feel that way all the time? Once you’re happy, what does your day look like, or does it not really matter?

I revisit these types of questions often.

Clarity is the only way for me to navigate the endless amount of content online, to keep me from jumping around endlessly from concept to concept, course to course, teacher to teacher… hoping to get ‘there’ without knowing what ‘there even is.

It’s the only way for me to clarify and simplify where to put my time, energy and attention as it relates to my inner world… as well as what to create or put out there about these topics (which I had to get clarity on deciding to do in the first place!)

So, I’m genuinely curious. I’d love to hear your response. What do you want out of all of this?

Even if you never click ‘send’ to me, taking the time to think about this is incredibly valuable.

Hope to hear from you soon 😊
